Malware Analytics Engine
Malware Analytics Engine
A Malware Analytics Engine (MAE) is a specialized system designed to analyze and detect malware (malicious software) by examining files, network traffic, system behavior, and other indicators of compromise. The primary purpose of a Malware Analytics Engine is to provide deep insights into how malware operates, identify its characteristics, and detect both known and unknown malware variants, including advanced threats.
Many Malware Analytics Engines integrate with threat intelligence feeds that provide information on known malware samples, including hashes, IP addresses, domains, and attack techniques. This allows the engine to quickly compare the malware under analysis with known threats and enrich its findings with up-to-date intelligence.
